How to Customize the Outlook Web App (OWA)Sign-In page in Exchange 2013

Let us see how to change the Outlook web app(OWA) Logon page in Exchange 2013

All the Outlook Web App logon page /Themes are stored in the Client Access Server

Browse to the Following Location in your Client Access Server

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\FrontEnd\HttpProxy\Owa Auth\15.0.516\themes\Resources

Open IIS Manager

Every .gif and .png file inside this folder serves its own purpose

Am going to customize a little which is more adequate to place company logos

For Example :

Take a backup of the files before editing

Am Going to Edit owa_Text_Blue.png and Olk_logo_White.png

Just edited it and replaced the files in the below location
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\FrontEnd\HttpProxy\Owa Auth\15.0.516\themes\Resources

Now have a Look at my Customized OWA page

  5. Great 🙂

How can I change the OWA after logon? I would add a link to my sharepoint?

    thank you

  6. I am simply trying to find the path of where they add the OWA logo at the top left corner of every theme. In 2010, these folders were easily found to modify the cssprite files. Where is this location in 2013? We need to customize our OWA to reflect our corporate logos throughout each theme.

  7. This is a wonderful post… Jst love the way it explained…. very usefull..

  8. Great article.. i’ve done in my production 🙂

  11. Question,

I have two organizations in my company, for example: one is and the other is and today, with Exchange 2010, I have two CAS Servers, one for each organization, which let me customize the OWA login page differently for each organizations.

But now, we are planning to move on for Exchange 2013, but this time, using only one server, so how can I customize two different OWA login pages?

Thanks in advance, it´s a great article you have here!!

    Best Regards,

  12. Hi,
I want to create a sign in again link in sign-out page of owa. Please help me with this

  13. Florian Schoppmeier

Great – this was just what i needed. One Question : where can i edit the Descriptions of the logon fields ? It says domain\username but i want the OWA to show E-Mail Address like it was in 2010

  14. Dears,
I have three OWA for three customers at the same CAS server with their own physical path and dlls, when i create any customization in anyone it reflects to the other two OWAs “for example the logo in the login screen” please help as ASAP,

  15. by the way it is exchange 2010 not 2013

  16. Thank you for your post. It is very helpful with regards to changing the images on the splash page. I have been searching the web for a way to add a disclaimer type of message to the splash page. In 2010, you could just edit the logon.aspx and add your text after the entry, but in 2013, the file appears completely different and I’m not sure where/what to add to the file to get this to appear. I tried looking at the logon.css file as well, but had no luck.

    Any ideas/pointers?

  17. I figured this out today on my own. You can still add the disclaimer message to your logon page via the logon.aspx page, you just have to put the text in a different place. I inserted my disclaimer text directly after the div class=”hidden-submit” line.

Hope this helps someone else out there.

  18. Please let me know the syntax you used. Anything we enter is not showing up.

    <!– #include file=”” –>

  19. #
    #<!– #include file=”” –>

  20. Hello,

How about the location and name of the OWA loading screen logo after login

  21. Hi,

I have two client access server and member of DAG To customize name and logo of OWA do i need to change in both client access server in the directories which you given?
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\FrontEnd\HttpProxy\Owa\Auth\15.0.516\themes\Resources

  22. Hello Setheshwaran,

Thank you for your post I really appreciate after long time trying to do these customization,
so I have different problems about Exchange 2013, I can’t get a certificate it tell me to wait for 10 days until the administrator generate it. I am stuck because I can’t to download it and I can’t also enable IIS without certificates. please any one can help about how can I get exchange 2013 security certificate and PKCS#7 certificates.

  23. Hi,

    very nice post Bro.

Can you plz guide me how to append DigiCert Logo on my WA page.

as DigiCert has given me Java and HTML code for DigiCert Seal.

  24. great site man

  25. It’s an remarkable paragraph designed foor all the internet viewers; they
will obtain benefit from it I am sure.

  26. The thing I noticed going from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 is that logon.aspx moved. The one I’m trying to customize now is at C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\FrontEnd\HttpProxy\owa\auth rather than C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess\Owa\auth as it was previously. The new page is significantly different than the old one. Fun fun fun.

  27. Is there any way to change the User first login page in OWA ? [New user after getting login]
    For example to modify owa_text_blue.png , olk_login_white.png .

  28. plz i need to add my corporate social media icons and links above the owa_text_blue.png on the right side

  29. Wow, that’s what I was looking for, what a
information! existing here at this webpage, thanks admin of this website.

  30. Anybody know which section of the logon.css file allows you to change the color of the “sign in” text and sign in arrow so we can change to another color instead of blue? I have hte color # I need, but not sure which section refers to the signin text and arrow, thanks!

  31. Hello Satheshwaran Manoharan can we create new theme in owa 2016 if yes then how to create

  32. Thank you Satheshwaran, this article is so resourceful.
